
Terry Linehan
A
fter a career as a tall ship sailor and boatbuilder, Terry joined the University of North Carolina Wilmington – Film Studies Department in 2000 as a lecturer, teaching courses in screenwriting and film production. He also directs the Internship Program. He was a 2003 semifinalist in the Academy Award Foundation’s Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, and has optioned six screenplays including projects for Cher and Gregory Hines. Terry studied screenwriting with Robert McKee, Janet Roach and Michael Hauge. His award-winning short narrative and documentary films have screened in film festivals nationwide, on North and South Carolina Public Television, and in Europe.
